A blocked gutter costs nothing — until it costs a lot
Leaves, pine needles, maple seeds, a bit of crumbling shingle: it builds up quietly, and the gutter stops draining. Water spills over the edge instead of running down.
From there the list grows: water running against the foundation, soil saturating, seepage in the basement. And in winter, the worst case — water freezes in the full gutter, forms a dam, and backs up under the shingles. Repairing water damage on a ceiling costs many times the price of a cleaning.

Fall, after the leaves come down
The best window is fall, once the trees are bare and before the first freeze. That's the window that prevents ice damming in January.
A second visit in spring is worth it if you have conifers — needles fall year-round — or a lot of maples, whose seeds pile up in May.
The fall window fills up fast. Everyone thinks of it the same month. Booking in September means getting the date you want.
Cottage, second home, extended absence
It's the service we most often perform with nobody home. We don't need interior access: we do the job, photograph the result and send you everything. You end up seeing your gutters closer up than if you'd climbed the ladder yourself.

How much does gutter cleaning cost?
Depends on the length of gutter, the number of storeys and the roof type. We look at those three things and give you a firm, free price, often from a photo.
How often?
Once a year in fall for most homes. Twice if you have conifers or maples overhanging the roof.
Do you walk on my roof?
We avoid it as much as possible. Most homes are done from a stabilized ladder, without leaning on the gutter itself, so it doesn't get bent.
Do you repair gutters?
We do cleaning, not repairs or installation. That said, we always flag what we see — a leaking joint, a sagging section — so you can have it dealt with.
Is it worth it if I have gutter guards?
Yes, less often, but yes. Guards reduce build-up without eliminating it: fine needles and seeds get through, and debris collects on top. A check every two years is reasonable.
Do you really provide photos?
Yes, on every job. It's the only way for you to verify work you can't see from the ground.
